Alice in Wonderland
Perfect for a mad hatters tea party! This cake was designed by my good friends Juliet and Colin. It was then up to me to bring the cake to life. Good job we’re all mad as hatters. Curiouser and curiouser………………
Serendipity
As the name suggests, this dummy cake design was originaly slightly different but changed halfway through, for the better!
Steel Magnolias
Using an original design by my friend Juliet this beautiful blue cake was hand painted to include the Bride and Groom’s family crest.
Madame Butterfly
The flower and butterfly elements of this cake were taken from a traditional kimono. And then there’s the fans, (lots of them!) a national treasure of Japan.
Marie Antoinette
Inspired by a dress worn by the lady herself, this design shows a variety of different techniques including painting, swags, pleats, bows, roses and piping. Let them eat cake!
Bollywood Dreams
This cake is one of my favourites. The gold and cerise pink Indian inspired design came from the bride and groom’s menu cards. The pink swag around the cake and the flowers on the cake are all sugar, with the whole cake sitting on a plinth studded with fresh flowers. In total this design took over 100 man hours to produce.
Romeo and Juliet
Encapsulating the elegance of Italian Renaissance during the Elizabethan era. Cutting will be such sweet sorrow………
